Job Description

Job Summary: 
Expanding organization seeks a talented Senior Financial Analyst.  The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the monthly close, performing ad-hoc analyses, and providing decision support.  The ideal candidate for this position is a detail oriented, analytical person with a strong aptitude for problem solving.   


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform G/L account reconciliations, including identifying, evaluating, and resolving reconciling items
  • Ensure proper accounting for the terminal deployment and residual processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate financial issues and provide analytic support to various members of the management team.
  • Provide recommendations on business decisions such as pricing.  Periodically measure the performance of past decisions.
  • Prepare month end financial presentations, including performing variance analysis and providing commentary for significant variances.
  • Gather supporting documentation and post journal entries. 
  • Organize and structure workload to meet daily, weekly, monthly, & annual deadlines
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closings, including preparation of month-end financial statements and budgets in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.



Job Requirements

Education and Experience (required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance in roles.


Education and Experience (preferred):

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA License (Strongly Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required):

  • Highly capable in MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel. 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Resourceful and creative problem solver.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform with minimum supervision and make decisions independently.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (preferred):

  • Strong working knowledge of Great Plains accounting
  • Experience in Payment or Financial Services industries
